Hi, we’re Jess and Rebecca! We have been friends for fifteen years since we trained to teach together. Since then, we have taken different career paths but still share an intensely geeky level of excitement about work and leadership. After years of long walks spent off-loading and brainstorming, punctuated by an incredibly yappy Pomeranian, we are finding our words and writing blogs that we hope will support others. We’re writing about things we wish we’d known sooner in our careers and things we’re still learning about and putting into practise day-to-day and trying to find answers to those bigger questions such as what does success look like? and how do I know if I’m doing this right?
We’d love to read your comments and feedback for any blogs, feel free to write and share ideas and resources with us.

Rebecca Dann
Hi, I’m Rebecca. I’m an Assistant Headteacher in a secondary school in the North West, in charge of middle leader development, early career teacher induction and whole-school literacy. I’ve been teaching for 15 years and have been Head of English for several years. I blog about school leadership, curriculum and share teaching resources and ideas.

Jess Ludlam
Hey, I’m Jess, a former English teacher for 10 years with a whole-school responsibility for improving literacy across the curriculum. I’m now a co-founder and CEO of successful independent model agency started with my sister 8 years ago with a team of 12 employees, managing over 300 models and working with clients and agencies globally. I blog about what I learn daily from successes and failures, what works and what doesn’t, in a fast-paced working environment.

I have to listen to these idiots every weekend as they blather away about what they’re reading, listening to, and doing in relation to work. Hopefully this blog might calm them down.
